What JJ's Offers You
All teachers and staff at JJ’s Arts Academy are fully trained, CRB checked and very enthusiastic about their subject. Students are taught on modern equipment in a secure, friendly music school with the facilities for parents to wait or go into Newton Abbot for that hour knowing that the students are safe.
All staff go on compulsory training every year and so are using up-to-date methods and materials in each lesson. JJ’s Arts Academy is a registered centre for Rockschool and Trinity College exams and so students do not need to travel for their music exams and they are taken in a familiar environment.
Each week, homework is set and this is put on the Students Only area of the website. Students can download their homework each week and enter the monthly draw if they hand their practice diaries in. In addition, workshops are run within school holiday times on topics from Metallica riffs through to Music Improvisation and Musical Theatre.
JJ’s Arts Academy prides itself on being an informal and friendly place to come and enjoy learning a musical instrument but has the framework in place to provide professional, safe and thorough training whilst offering a diverse range of interesting topics.
