Come to JJ's Arts Academy where all teachers are qualified, experienced, fun and goals focussed.

Prices are £30 per hour (pro rata).

JJ's Arts Academy is a Rockschool exam centre and so if exams are of interest to you, you can take them in our centre.  Other exam boards are offered depending on the instrument and we can advise as to the closest examination centre.

Lessons are held in sound proofed, comfortable, spacious rooms and parents/partners can wait in our friendly reception area and use our Wifi.

What can you expect from a 1:1 vocal coaching session?

1:1 vocal coaching is offered to students who wish to focus on specific projects i.e. forthcoming auditions.  This option is only available to intermediate/advanced singers with specific goals in mind.

Vocal coaching is based on the genres of musical theatre and/or the many genres within contemporary popular music. Lessons are up to one hour in length and are tailored to the individual’s needs.

What can you expect from a 1:1 flute session?

Whether you are a beginner or have already had tuition, 1:1 flute lessons are offered at JJ's. 

The flute can be played in classical, jazz and popular music settings as a solo instrument or within woodwind groups and orchestras.

The piano is one of the most versatile instruments and can be played as a soloist or part of a band/ensemble. 

With all genres at your fingertips, come and learn on our beautiful baby grand piano!  We cater for beginners through to diploma level, 6 - 106 years old!

What can you expect from a 1:1 drums session?

1:1 drum lessons are tailored to the student's interests with songs and styles they enjoy.  Beginners are usually guided towards the Yamaha group sessions (see Group tuition) but all levels are welcome.

Rockschool and Trinity College London syllabus's are followed if students wish to study grades while also learning the necessary rudiments to develop technique and fluidity across the kit.

What can you expect from an electric guitar, acoustic guitar or bass guitar session?

Following an initial assessment, the teacher and student will agree upon a course of study tailored towards a students requirements and interests. 

For those students interested in taking grades, the Rockschool syllabus is used and students can take their exams at JJ's Arts Academy as we are a centre.
